Who I Am
Hi, I'm Dr. Denise Scannell.
Behavioral scientist. Strategist. Connector. Change leader. Experience designer. And someone who genuinely believes the best work happens when organizations connect with the humans behind the mission.
I spent 25 years leading federal and industry initiatives at leading national consulting and research firms. I built teams, led organizations through complex change, turned bold ideas into real impact, and created partnerships that made a difference for millions of Americans. Now I bring that same energy, rigor, and heart to Joyinsights.
Because strategy without heart is just a PowerPoint. And joy in the work, in the mission, in the people, and in the moments we create together has no expiration date.
Through HelloSunshine Productions, I create experiences that bring people together including community connection events, team-building workshops, trainings, and anything else that sparks a little joy.
When I am not working, you can find me cheering from the bleachers, wrangling a very opinionated orange cat, spoiling an elderly pug, and being grateful for the people who make it all worthwhile.
